Currently openAOS supports three generations of Archos devices:

Generation 8 devices (also known as Internet Tablets – IT):

  • Archos 101
  • Archos 70 (both h and s)
  • Archos 43
  • Archos 32
  • Archos 28

Generation 7 device (also known as Internet Tablet – IT):

  • Archos 5 IT

Generation 6 devices (also known as Internet Media Tablets – IMT):

  • Archos 5
  • Archos 5 3g (including SFR model)
  • Archos 7

Please note that those hardware generations are quite different and thus not everything will apply to all devices. Always check the tags and categories of an openAOS blog post or the specific wiki page for hints to find out if it applies to your device.

Currently unsupported devices (this may or may not change in the future):

other devices:

  • All smaller models without SDE firmware (Archos 3, Archos2 etc.)
  • hardware generation 5
    • 605, 605F, 705, 405, etc.
  • hardware generation 4
    • 604, 704, 504, 404, etc.
  • Archos HomeTablet (HT) series (different hardware with RockChip, no SDE, no kernel sources, but a plus no firmware signing though) There is an Project for FroYo on those devices:
    • Archos 7HT
    • Archos 8HT
