enable GRE in kernel

Reported by: brian@… Owned by: alsutton

Component: Android 2.2 Version: Android 2.2 - alpha1

Description

When trying to set up PPTP, froyo responds to the PPTP server's GRE request with:

ICMP 10.75.22.233 protocol 47 unreachable, length 67

That's probably because (courtesy of dm8tbr):

(08:47:10 AM) dm8tbr: build/openaos/recipes/linux/linux-omap-archos-2.6.27.10-omap1$ grep GRE defconfig
(08:47:13 AM) dm8tbr: # CONFIG_NET_IPGRE is not set

GRE support added into my latest zImage/initramfs.cpio.gz you can get it from:

 http://download.openaos.org/bubu/a5it/

let me know if this helped...

Hrm.  This might be doing the trick, however it seems that for whatever reason, the pptp module in Android is not sending it's authentication information to the server, so all of this might be moot.  You know, all of this would be moot if we just rolled cyanogen's openvpn module into openaos' froyo.  I will file a ticket.
