A101IT: Screen upside-down

Description

Hi. I noticed that on my tablet with OpenAOS, the screen is upside down for the bootloader and any OSs that are loaded from it (except the Archos one). Looking into the code, specifically init and openaos_lib.sh, I found that the screen is automatically rotated 180 degrees for the A101. So, I simply commented out that line (133, openaos_lib.sh), and packaged it up again. I also made a control image to check I was doing it right. The control image worked as normal, but my modified version simply didn't boot at all, the screen goes black for a few seconds, then it reboots. I'm completely baffled.

The rotation is due to the display panel being mounted 180° to the default holding position of the device.

Android can rotate in all 4 orientations anyway.

OS' that don't have this capability will by default come up in the original display panel orientation (which can seem counter-intuitive).
