AppsLib does not recognize the device as an Archos device

AppsLib does not recognize the device as an Archos device.
this is not possible to run AppsLib ( it is possible to install it ) - "not an archos device "

We need to modify the device Model. To get the appslib work, there only is some values:
Archos5
A70HB
A80HF
A101IT
A28
A32
A43
A70H
A70S

Edit /system/build.prop :

change ro.product.model=OpenAOS Build of Android 2.2
to ro.product.model=Archos5

Some people might be more inclined to change it to A43 as that will actually be quite close to our firmware once they also run 2.2.

I'm not convinced we should take sides here.

Thus I propose to

  • leave this ticket as documentation for those who want to install that people that want to install that market can do so.
  • resolve the ticket INVALID as we are not the typical 1.6 firmware a5 and neither an a43 and shouldn't take sides as both will lead to problems.

Other opinions/ideas?

Downgraded to trivial. There are alternatives (inc. AndAppStore? which is shipped in the distro).

I understand, but is there a way to setup Android Market ? There are only few applications on AndAppStore?.
